THINGS GURUS WILL NEVER TELL YOU

My name is Marva Deen and I am NOT a “guru.” I’m a regular person who over the past 7 years in my spare time has earned over $62,000 (and counting!) as an affiliate marketer. What I've earned isn't even close to a million dollars (there are some self-made online marketing millionaires, though not as many as gurus want you to believe there are), but it still puts me among the just 5% of marketers considered successful, i.e. we consistently earn "significant" income online. When you break down $50K over 7 years, that comes out to an average of approximately $738 monthly. That really isn't significant (meaning that most marketers hope to earn a lot more). But since almost all marketers--95%--earn little to no money at all, relatively speaking, $738 is significant. Most marketers would be happy to earn a regular $738 monthly for their effort.
Now, let's talk about "success." Even if you regularly earn a few dollars here and there, that is not success. Earning $500 or $1,000 or even $1,500 at one time isn't success, if you aren't earning it consistently. Consistently earning significant money is the hallmark of SUCCESSFUL marketing. Even though they continuously fail, the majority of marketers collectively spend countless hours and thousands and thousands of dollars in their pursuit of "internet wealth" and the lifestyle that goes with it. We all want it. And it is absolutely possible for YOU to achieve. But it will continue to allude the 95% of marketers, because no guru has created and SOLD to them the ONE THING they need that GUARANTEES a consistent, substantial online income.

Because no matter what you buy, you don't have the ONE thing you need, that will absolutely GUARANTEE SUCCESS---EFFORTLESSLY! And now the guru has your email address and will send you email--after--email, many times per day, and will convince you to buy something else! Understand this: GURUS are not in the business of helping you earn money. GURUS ARE MASTER SALESPEOPLE. THEIR BUSINESS IS SALES. THEY MAKE A FORTUNE BY SELLING THINGS TO YOU THAT YOU DON'T NEED AND THAT CAN’T HELP YOU! Only ONE thing can and they're never going to offer it, because you wouldn't need to BUY anything from them. You keep buying, they keep earning!

And think about this: Why do the gurus who SELL you “totally-done-for-you” this or that always have an INCOME DISCLAIMER linked on the bottom of their offer page that states, “We can’t guarantee earnings, because we don’t know your work ethic,” or “To make money, you have to put in the work.” If the thing that they’re SELLING to you is “totally-done-for-you,” why do you need to work? The disclaimer is there because BY LAW, they can’t guarantee you’ll earn money, because more than likely, you won’t. It has nothing to do with "work ethic." You know you work hard, but when you fail, they insult you by saying you didn't work hard enough! The gurus whom you put your trust in are making plenty of money by SELLING to you something they don't use to earn money. THEIR BUSINESS IS SALES.
And speaking of "work ethic," just what exactly is the work of a marketer? Well, it depends. If you're involved in multi-level marketing (MLM) or network marketing, you're going to be doing a ton of work. And you'll be wasting your time and money, because you're going to fail. Why? Multi-level marketing and network marketing are sales constructs, that requires the skills of salesmanship: real confidence, the ability to convince and persuade, the ability to motivate others and dogged determination. There’s a reason for the saying, “Salesmen [and women] are BORN, not made.” If you don't have sales skills, you have no business in MLM or network marketing. On the other hand, there's affiliate marketing. It's the only thing I do to earn money online, because it's easy, it's lucrative and it isn't necessarily sales-dependent.

Now think about this: Even though it's global, and new people enter every day, the online marketing “community” is still relatively small. When gurus introduce new affiliate or network marketing opportunities, the lion's share of the relatively small number of marketers goes to the gurus, for a price. Then you and the other marketers try to "sell" (i.e. get someone to buy something or to opt-in to something) the same things you just "bought" in the same places (Facebook groups, other social media platforms, email blasts, traffic exchanges, etc.) to the same people that already bought/opted-in through the gurus, aka MASTER SALESPEOPLE. Are you starting to understand why you will never succeed this way?

Lastly, think about this: Online marketing doesn't require hard work. There are really only a few steps to it: 1) Write and post COMPELLING ads i.e. try to 2) generate leads; 3) drive traffic to the website that details the offer (i.e. get “eyeballs” on it) and, if the website content is compelling, it should 3) convince leads to "opt-in" and thereby capture info to 4) build a marketing list. The final step is to 5) convert the leads to referrals, resulting in commissions (the payoff). That’s all there is to it. But if you could do any of that, you wouldn't be reading this. That isn't meant to be insulting. It's a fact that you must accept if you want to stop wasting your time and money and START EARNING MONEY--A LOT OF IT!
